The switch

A few days back I discussed my plans to buy own hosting space and domain and put the blog there. It's fact now. You can visit www.branev.com and see the new blog of mine.

This is a new beginning for me. I will continue blogging there and in a month I will delete branev.blogspot.com. So please join me at my new blog and please be patient - I will need a week or so in order to get it ready and pumping

Raze

I just wanted to give tribute to one character from the Underworld Trilogy that I like a lot. I am talking about Kevin Grevioux - the guy who played Raze, the Lycan. He literally rocks :) His role is one of the most impressive since the first Underworld movie, although he apeared there just a few times.

Intersting things that I learned about him are:
1) He was the writer of some parts of the story in Underworld;
2) He has created the stunts in some movies as Hulk (2003);
3) He has created some Marvel comics issues. When I mention this - there is a movie that is to be produced after one of his issues and he will play there: ZMDs: Zombies of Mass Destruction

We will see what will happen with this new movie. It's till too far away in time.

My plans for the blog

For a while, the blog was a bit neglected and I lost a lot of readers. In the beginning I planned to use the blog just for fun and write blog posts just for fun. Then the counters hit round 1000 visitors per month which was cool and lasted for nearly an year....now you see that round 200 people visit the blog monthly and the PR rank of the site dropped from 3 to 1. This is due to my long period of low activity.

As a result, I decided that this is the good moment to switch the blog to a paid hosting with a new .com domain and start attracting people again, as it was funny receiving mails with comments etc. The new one will be posted relatively soon and will be using Wordpress platform. Read the blog from time to time, in order to learn more :)

Tekken 6 - what to expect

As I am real fan of Tekken (although I have played only 2, 4 and 5) I am really happy that it's coming to XBox360 latter on this year in the sequel - Tekken 6. At the official site you can see the roster of 40 characters - one of the biggest collection of fighters with unique styles (at least the team promises so). I see that my all-time favorites Eddy, Mokujin and Yoshimitsu (that I have never learned to play with in both Tekken and Soul Calibur) are here...still we will miss Gon again. There are 6 promised new charracters, and some like Eddy and Yoshimitsu will play with new tecniques, as the story changes drastically for them.

The game is already aailable for preorder at the official site. If you are interested - reserve your copy now:)

And if you want to have a look at some of the magic of the new game - a fight between Paul Phoenix and Kazuya is presented at Tekken 6's site.

Tales of Vesperia for XBox360

One more game is no more exclusive game for Playstation. Earlier this week Tales of Vesperia was released for Xbox360 and PS3.

I am not sure if I have stated this in my blog previously, but I firmly believe that this is the way that the game market will develop. Mostly, the exclusive games will turn to multi-platforms, in order to earn even more and to diminish the monopolistic games at the market (more like oligopoly, to be precise...).
Here is a trailer of the game:

A game that I really expect coming to XBox360 is Takken 6. This is one of the hardest hits on PS, as this was one of THE GAMES :)

Windows 7 to offer XP downgrade option

Today I learned that Windows 7 will offer downgrade option to Windows XP. This is really amazing, when we have in mind how old this OS is, still it proved so stable and liked by the users. Of course, the "Downgrade to Vista" option will be presented, too...but this is not so good news :)

I hope that Windows 7 will be the new OS that follows into XP-s successful steps. Vista filed to do this, although it presented some really innovative features in Windows (that were previously used only in Unix-based OS). Personall, I like Vista's memory usage idea, but not the way it do it. I have heard from friends using the Beta of W7, that it have no similar problems, yet it uses the same way of cacheing. Let's hope that everything will be ok with 7 and that it will be out BUGLESS (as much as possible) soon!

The Pinocchio Paradox

Today I found this in the blog of Tomas -the creator of Slax. Really witty:) I like it

The Pinocchio Paradox

Xbox360 - Project Nathan

From what I have seen and read in the net (including reviews of people that have been at E3 and have checked it) - it's not goign to be that much revolutionary. The delay between your actions and the actions of your hero is said to be large and moreover - many gamers prefer playing with a gamepad(like me), as it is really relaxing. But let's wait and see. Till the moment it's officially out - follow Project Natal's site.

Fallout 2 Save Games converter (1.01 or 1.0 to 1.02d)

There is a common problem with freshly patched Fallout 2 versions. I had it too - when you have played and decide to update the game to 1.02d - the save games won't be compatible. Of course, there are tons of converters that pretend to do the job and bring your old saved games in the game, yet they do not do it, especially if you have patched Fallout 2 v1.01.

The converter at this site will do the trick [CLICK].

Have fun:)
